The maiden voyage of the "Kungsholm"

Glittering more brightly than a Christmas decoration, Sweden's 802-passenger flagship, the 22.000-ton "Kungsholm", lay in her Manhattan berth in december 1953, celebrating her maiden voyage across the Atlantic. Largest ship ever to fly the Swedish flag, the $10 million beauty will spend her first winter cruising out of New York to the Caribbean and to South America.
