The house is designed for a site with a magnificent view over a canyon. The owners are professional musicians, with one small child, and Mr. Neutra has planned the building so that only a small portion of it can be built immediately, and then added to as the need arises, and materials are increasingly available.
The first group to be built consists of the kitchen, service room, bedroom No. 1 and dining room. The living room for the present will only have o concrete floor that can be used as an outdoor terrace, with the brick outdoor fireplace.
The next stage of building will include the entire building with the exception of the bedroom No. 3 and both in connection: the latter to be added in the future.
