This lovely mid-century modern structure opened in 1960 and it consisted of a retail structure housing 50 shops and restaurants, nicknamed "the world's most unusual market place", and the 230-foot Trylon Tower. The tower closed to tourists in the late 1970's and was demolished in 1998.
