Traditional meets MCM in this 1959 house. Detailed plans provided!

This house has an unusual room distribution with two of the bedrooms set on the groundfloor alongside the garage, with the living and kitchen moved to the top floor.

This house was designed by architect John Normile, A.I.A. for himself and his family, with his wife doing the decorations.

In the back area both levels have large terraces. The upper-level one was an extension of the living. Wide overhang above the sliding doors keeps the room shaded during the hot part of the day.; doors open wide to evening breeze.

Mrs. Normile was very proud of her pink kitchen. Counters and cabinets line two walls for efficent food preparation and serving.
