On the set of NBC's "Home". The New 1954 variety show.

 


In 1954, for weeks NBC heralded a new show: "There's no place like HOME!". On March 1st an hour-long daytime show called Home went on the air. Housed in an elaborate sutdio, with budget of $50.000 per week,Home was designed as a magazine of the air to rpovide advice on housewives problems from grooming to gardening. It boasted a cooking expert, a child psychologist and such gadgetry as revolving stages and devices toc reate rain and snow.
