In the summer of 1947 new type of inflatable pool toys hit the market. Manufactured by the Du Page Plastics Company of Chicago, they are made of a light-weight thermoplastic Vinylite sheeting which is as flexible as rubber, soft as satin, and which can be quickly inflated by mouth.
