The Martin XB-51 trijet ground-attack aircraft.

Designed in 1945 with its maiden flight in 1949, this unusual aircraft was initially designated XA-45, with only two prototypes built.

Designed for low-level bombing and close support, this unusual aircraft had 3 General Electric J47 engines two underneath the forward fuselage in pods, and one at the extreme tail with the intake at the base of the tailfin.
