Here in the Town Chalet Motor Hotel an inviting appearance has been achieved while holding to the limits of strict economy. Architect Rice explains his choice of materials as follows : "Use of wood for this structure was demanded in the interest of economy. Pleasing fenestrations obtainable in wooden structures provide a feeling of warmth and friendliness ... wood was used to reflect this."
