Kitchen is within easy snack-carrying distance. Roof overhang is deep enough to shelter glass from weather, yet allows low winter sun to slip under to warm house.
Exterior walls are brick and random width boards of redwood. Bedrooms were placed on streetside so living area could open out on terrace in rear. Roof extends to cover walk to garage.
