Asimple design yet handsome and complete this home would fit nicely on most city lots. Board-and-batten siding, single-ridge roof, plumbing grouped together, and rectangular plan mean economical construction. Sloping lot allows walkout basement.
Instead of a hodgepodge of different materials, the architect developed an interesting pattern with siding. To left of entry it's horizontal, then changes to vertical board-and-batten at right. Recessed entry, painted white, gives relief to front.
