Santa is watching TV - and here is the proof | TV Guide Chicago, 4-10 December 1953

WHILE television hasn't yet reached the North Pole-at least according to the Federal Communications Commission which should know -there's no doubt the medium has caught up with a certain gentleman in that far-off land. We refer, of course, to Santa Claus.

And the proof can be found in the Nation's toy stores where hundreds of different items have been inspired by television programs. They range from dolls and bathinettes labeled Rickey, Jr., to space helmets, ray guns, cowboy equipment and puppets. For the others -well, just visit any convenient store.
