Your new homes: living made easy

This house was built for a family which included a wheelchair invalid, but its design would make it equally good for a home planned for an older person. Built on one floor, and designed for a very narrow lot, the rambling house has a hobby-recreation room that faces on the street for the handicapped member of the family. To the rear of this, is the living room with its spacious dining area, and window walls for both.

On the living side, these windows open out onto a sun terrace, which is shown, interestingly screened, in the rendering. A practical feature of this one-bathroom house, is the powder room-lavatory, adjoining the bath, for complete privacy for two. There is a good sized kitchen with its own entry way, and the well-ventilated bedrooms are divided by a useful closet wall.

This house is somewhat unusual, in that the garage was designed as a part of it, and can be entered from the front hall. Here is a home that is both practical and attractive, built to give the most of everything to its owners.
