The 1954 Celanese swim suits

One of the synthetics made in the 50s was Celanese acetate yarn. The advantage: no wrinkles and the colors don't run. One of the fashion homes that used this in 1954 was Cole of California. While here on this site we advocate for conservation, appreciation and promotion of vintage technology, lifestyle and values, this time while we praise the design of the clothes we lobby for use of natural fibers, cloths and furs.
