December 1954, Ford presents the lineup for 1955

Trhe Ford Motor Company's 1955 line follows the lead of its new eye-catcher, the Thunderbird, with a low (4ft., 4in. high) body and high-powered (198 hp) engine. Resembling a sports car, the Thunderbird comes as a convertible with a removable top. The whole Ford line is as colorful as a nestful of tropical birds. The Ford itself has power pushed up to 182 hp in the Crown Victoria model, which has a startling belt of chrome across the roof. The Mercury, bigger and heavier all around, has added a more powerful series. The Lincoln can be fitted with a device which lubricates the whole care simply by pushing a button on the dashboard.
