Novemeber 21, 1935 Pan Am China Clipper ready for launch


 "Can such a machine really fly?" - bystanders exclaimed in wonderment as the China Clipper in its cradle was wheeled out on November 21, 1935, and poisted to enter the water for the start of the first transpacific airmail flight the following day. Mechanics clamber over the plane, making the final inspection.
