BH&G Five Star Homes #2903-B

The Five Star homes in the #2903 series were built in the Lortondale development, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Builder Howard Grubb wanted to avoid a "subdivision look" without losing the advantages of mass building. So he asked architect Donald Honn for a "family" of individual designs that would hold costs down, yet produce a group of good-looking, good-living houses.

The layout of the homes is the same. Roof varies only in grid overhang and the direction of slope. Walls change only in texture, pattern and color - not in basic framework. Window location in each house is quite similar, but various shapes and sizes make windows a flattering part of the design.

The wonderful texture of stone brings warmth to this house. Note that all the stone is concentrated in one spot for emphasis and pleasing line. The front bedroom has three windows in an interesting combination (one opens).
