1950, Salsbury Corp., of Los Angeles introduces the Autow Loader

 


Automobiles are pushed from assembly lines right into waiting freight cars with the Autow Loader made by the Salsbury Crop., of  Los Angeles. The tug in the foreground lifts the rear end of ana utomobile with a hydraulic jack and pushes it into the rail car. An assitant at the steering wheel guides the car's front wheels.
