A modern house need not mean luxury living. Here is one that can grow with your family and income, with an extra bedroom that can be added at the front, accessible from the present bedroom hall. The split-level plan separates the living area from the bedroom, and makes this small house different from the usual one. It also affords a high window (which you can see in the sketch) for the bathroom at the center of the house. The master bedroom is convenient to the kitchen so that breakfast can be ready when the family is.
The garage is to be added along the stone wall next to the living area. The stone is pleasant contrast now, but will serve as a fireproofing measure in the future. A full, nine-foot ceiling in the living room is a prize feature in this house, a bonus of split-level living.
