Cranberry Star Mold recipe from 1964

1 3-ounce package pineapple, grapefruit or orange-flavored gelatin

1 1-pound can whole cranberry sauce

1 7-ounce bottle gingerale

greens

orange and grapefruit sections


In saucepan, combine gelatin and cranberry sauce. HEat and stirr till almost boiling and gelatin is dissolved. Chill slightly. Carefully stir in gingerale. When "fizzing" has stopped, pour into 5-cup star-shaped mold. Chill till set. Unmold. Garnish with greens and orange and grapefruit sections. Center sections of top of star with a few whole cranberries or a maraschino cherry. Blend equal parts mayo and sour cream for dressing.
